This diet was made by American doctor Herman Turnover in the 70s, and is based on reduced amounts of fats and carbohydrates. If you are consistent with this diet, you can lose up to 18 pounds in just two weeks.
Breakfast always includes half a grapefruit, which helps burn calories. Alcohol is strictly forbidden during this diet, and the allowed drinks are: Decaffeinated coffee, black tea, water and carbonated drinks without sugar.
Diet plan
Day 1:
Breakfast – coffee, tea without sugar and half a grapefruit
Lunch – beef, chicken or rye in unlimited quantities, with tomato salad. After lunch you can have a drink or tea.
Dinner – roasted or boiled fish, tomatoes or lettuce, and as a dessert you can have grapefruit or melon.
Day 2:
Breakfast – coffee, tea without sugar and half a grapefruit
Lunch – fruit salad in unlimited quantities with fruit on request, then coffee
Dinner – minced meat burger with cooked vegetables in unlimited quantities.
Day 3:
Breakfast – coffee, tea without sugar and half a grapefruit
Lunch – tuna salad with fresh vegetables if desired, as a dessert grapefruit or melon
Dinner – two pork chops with mixed lettuce
Day 4:
Breakfast – coffee, tea without sugar and half a grapefruit
Lunch – two boiled eggs with cheese, green beans, tomato salad, one integral toast and then coffee
Dinner – chicken, spinach, pepper salad in unlimited quantities
Day 5:
Breakfast – coffee, tea without sugar and half a grapefruit
Lunch – low fat cheese, spinach and wholemeal rusks
Dinner – roasted fish and cooked vegetables with integral rusks
Day 6:
Breakfast – coffee, tea without sugar and half a grapefruit
Lunch – fruit salad in unlimited quantities and coffee
Dinner – roasted skinless chicken, tomatoes and lettuce, then grapefruit or melon and finally coffee
Day 7:
Breakfast – coffee, tea without sugar and half a grapefruit
Lunch – skinless chicken, tomato carrots, boiled cabbage, broccoli or cauliflower, melon or grapefruit and at the end of the meal coffee
Dinner – beef, veal or lamb with mixed salad, then coffee
If you can not do without sugar, add some of the artificial sweeteners in your coffee or tea, and in the second week of the diet, apply the same menu from the first.
